The Dragon Prince Season 7, also known as The Dragon Prince: Mystery of Aaravos, will be released on Netflix this December 19, as announced in a new trailer. Netflix describes the new season as the “climax” moment for the animated series, and it is also the last season.
The new season is also called “Book Seven: Dark”.
According to Netflix, The Dragon Prince Season 7 will focus on Aaravos and Claudia seeking to destroy the cosmic order and invert life and death, and how they literally need to be ready to sacrifice anything and everything they love and believe in to save the world.
The series is produced by Wonderstorm and animated by Bardel Entertainment. It is created by Aaron Ehasz and Justin Richmond, with direction by Villads Spangsberg, Giancarlo Volpe, and George Samilski. The scriptwriting is handled by Aaron Ehasz, Justin Richmond, Devon Giehl, Iain Hendry, and Neil Mukhopadhyay.

The Dragon Prince is set in the fantasy world of the fictional continent Xadia, and follows the story of human princes Callum and Ezran, along with Moonshadow Elf Rayla, as they strive to bring peace to a thousand-year conflict between humans, dragons, and elves. Their journey also involves protecting the infant Storm Dragon, Azymondias, who is the titular Dragon Prince.
